Faculty

Anne Taylor
Chancellor

BS Fashion Merchandising
1990

I chose ISU because I loved the campus, and the city of Ames suited my discriminating taste. I majored in Family Consumer Sciences / Fashion Merchandising and became more interested in the business aspects rather than fashion. I started out as a merchandise buyer and operations manager, and quickly learned how NOT to run a business. In 1996, Roger and I decided to venture out on our own. It turned out to be a great decision.

Roger Ossian
President

BS Marketing
1989

I have been an Iowa Stater ever since I can remember.  It's in the Ossian gene pool.  my grandfather Simon August Ossian lettered in four sports while attending Iowa State in the 1930's.  He used to share his fondest memories with me, and I never wanted to go anywhere but ISU.  I met my wonderful wife Carol at ISU, and now we are raising two beautiful Cyclone ladies that may also some day become part of the Cyclone family.

Chris Limburg
Provost

BS Industrial Engineering
1992

I enrolled at ISU because of the engineering program. After grinding through the freshman classes, I finally landed on Industrial Engineering as my major. I currently live in Ames and work for Wells Fargo in Des Moines.

Kristin Tracy
Adjunct Lecturer

BA Art Education
1992

I chose ISU because I wanted to go to a large school. I also loved the beautiful campus and grew up a Cyclone fan. The new Art & Design center was also fun and seemed exciting. I'm currently a web developer / project manager at Red 5 Interactive.

Brittany
Professor

Sophomore
Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production

I chose ISU because it offers a great program for my major. Besides the beautiful campus, the people are great here too! When I grow up I wouldn't mind having my own boutique or store. I also think being a buyer or an assistant buyer for a big brand company would be a fulfilling position.

Kari
Professor

Freshman
Kinesiology

I chose ISU because it is close to home, and I had an opportunity to work at Dogtown University. I would like to become an athletic trainer and a mom.

Kylee
Professor

Transfer Freshman
Pre-design

I chose to transfer to ISU because of the great design program. It's very competitive, so we'll see if I get accepted. I would love to be a graphic designer when I grow up, and either work for a company or do freelance work.

Chelsey
Professor

Freshman
Fashion Design

I chose ISU because it is closer to all of my friends and to Dogtown University. ISU has great opportunities and a great fashion program. I eventually want to move somewhere warm and become very successful.
